Department Of Surgery

Introduction

 

As of any Medical College Hospital, our department of surgery is the backbone of SNMMCH Dhanbad.

We have 120 beds in indoor ward & 12 beds in SICU. We have good faculty strength .  

​

We have good faculty strength   with 01 Professor, 04Associate Professor, 04Assistant Professor &

06 Senior Residents .

​

 

We run surgical emergency services 24*7 with 54 beds. We run general surgery opd & specialty opd as well.

 

The admission figures are ever increasing.

Elective general surgeries & emergency surgeries are being carried out routinely.

 

Clinical teaching is imparted as bed-side teaching in indoor & demonstration in outdoor.

​

Academic activity is a regular feature in the form of CME, case presentation, group discussion & journal club etc.

​

Emphasis is directed towards research oriented projects.
